Comfort

(Deuteronomy
6:4-5) (4)

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
(5)
and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
A
pleasant greeting to the SAINTS OF
GOD
. We the Directors for “MESSAGE
OF THE SWORD MINISTRIES”
bring you GLAD TIDINGS in the name of our LORD and SAVIOUR
JESUS
CHRIST.  Today we continue with our “Devotions with
Bro. Lendor”. The topic today is entitled ‘Comfort’.
What or who can we turn to when things go in an unexpected manner? When we face
great pain or unbelievable complexity, extremely devastating disappointment.
How do we feel and treat with individuals who disappoint and hurt us to the
place perhaps when we become numb? Loss and grief can cripple just as
effectively as individuals who have returned from active combat in war torn
nations.
What
Comfort exists in this world? The Bible teaches a few principles that I would
share, it has been God approved and tested.
The Bible teaches techniques or principles that may not be associated
with Euphoric feeling but with Divine Assistance assures deliverance.
Consider

Isaiah
57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that
inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of
the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 40:11.
He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he
shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall
gently lead those that are with young.
Psalm 56:8
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears
into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

Psalm 71:19-21
Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high,
who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore
troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths
of the earth.
Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort
me on every side.

Jeremiah 31:13
Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance,
both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and
will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Proverbs 16:20.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find
good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD,
happy is he.
Psalm 40:8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy
law is within my heart.
Psalm 146:5.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his
help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
Our Hope is in the LORD, why the LORD?
Hebrews 2:9&10
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower
than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that
he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and
by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Isaiah 53:5&6
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he
was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and
with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of
us all.
“That man who prays and depends upon God will
never imperil his own spiritual interests or the work and cause of God. His
faculties will not be misapplied. A self-trained, self-disciplined man, his
whole character is transformed. His thoughts are educated, his passions are
softened, subdued, and sanctified. Jesus Christ is his companion, and he works
with Christ. No selfish spirit is manifested in harsh words or unkind actions;
for he looks in love and confidence to his Companion and says, “Thy gentleness
hath made me great.” [Psalm 18:35.] True and worthy motives inspire him, for he
is sanctified by the spirit of the Master Worker.”
Respectfully Yours.
