The Foundational Messages Of Adventism were lithographed on 300 Charts known as the Habakkuk’s Tables. As early as 1842 the direction given in this prophecy to "write the Vision, and make it plain upon Tables, that he may run that readeth it," had suggested to Charles Fitch the preparation of a Prophetic Chart to illustrate the Visions of Daniel and the Revelation. The publication of this Chart was regarded as a fulfillment of the command given by Habakkuk." "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the Vision, and make it plain upon Tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the Vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:2-3). The 1843 Chart is a "chronological representation, illustrating the Visions of Daniel and John The Revelator published by Joshua V. Himes. As we have been told from the pen of inspiration, in the end it shall speak, and not lie and so the dream of Nebuchadnezzar King Of Babylon found in Daniel chapter 2 is clearly representing the kingdoms which ruled the world. Illustrated by the image of a man standing with his hand folded, and the ten toes of the image representing the divisions of Rome into ten kingdoms at the end of the world. This imagery is also depicted in Daniel chapter 7 by the lion-like beast with two wings symbolizing the Kingdom Of Babylon. The Bear which raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it represents the Kingdom Of The Medes And The Persians. The next kingdom under consideration was the leopard-like beast with four wings representing the Kingdom Of Greece and finally we have the non-descript beast which represents the Kingdom Of Rome, and out of the fourth beast cometh a little horn representing the Image Of The Papacy. Then we have Daniel chapter 8 which spoke to the military conflict between the Kingdom Of Medes And Persia and the Kingdom Of Greece. The conqueror is greater than the conquered. The ram, represents the Kingdom of Medes and Persia, became great; the he-goat, symbolizes Greece, however became very great, and one nation became superior over the other. The Visions of John the Revelator are also clearly depicted in the representation of the Dragon-Like Beast with ten horns and ten crowns upon his head, it also spoke of the Leopard-Like Beast with ten horns and ten crowns upon his head. Islam in Bible prophecy is also a subject of keen interest here, and has its applicable import at the end of the world. Then we have the angels flying in the midst of heaven taking the final judgment hour message to the world, is surely the special work to be accomplished in the last days. Finally we have the work of Christ Final Atonement in the Sanctuary. The Messiah dying on the cross is the central theme on each Chart. In the backbone of each Chart is a centrally located historical date column. These columns each present, overall, a time period of 2,520 years (from 723 BC to 1798 AD and 677 BC to 1843/1844 AD) respectively. As we have been told from the pen of inspiration, the 1843 Chart was directed by the hand of the LORD, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as he wanted them; that his hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until his hand was removed. The figures consisting of the commencement of the chain of truth and the great Prophetic Periods, all speak to the story of the complicated play of human events and will not lie: though it tarry, wait for it…
