Foundational Message of Adventism
The Foundational Messages Of Adventism were lithographed on 300 Charts known as the Habakkuk’s Tables. As early as 1842 the direction given in this prophecy to "write the Vision, and make it plain upon Tables, that he may run that readeth it," had suggested to Charles Fitch the preparation of a Prophetic Chart to illustrate the Visions of Daniel and the Revelation. The publication of this Chart was regarded as a fulfillment of the command given by Habakkuk." "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the Vision, and make it plain upon Tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the Vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakkuk 2:2-3). The 1843 Chart is a "chronological representation, illustrating the Visions of Daniel and John The Revelator published by Joshua V. Himes. As we have been told from the pen of inspiration, in the end it shall speak, and not lie and so the dream of Nebuchadnezzar King Of Babylon found in Daniel chapter 2 is clearly representing the kingdoms which ruled the world. Illustrated by the image of a man standing with his hand folded, and the ten toes of the image representing the divisions of Rome into ten kingdoms at the end of the world. This imagery is also depicted in Daniel chapter 7 by the lion-like beast with two wings symbolizing the Kingdom Of Babylon.
known as the Habakkuk’s Tables. The Messenger Of The LORD, Ellen G. White penned the following words found in, (Manuscript Releases Volume Thirteen Numbers 1,000-1,080 – page 359) "I saw that God was in the publishment of the Chart by Brother Nichols. I saw that there was a prophecy of this Chart in the Bible, and if this Chart is designed for God’s people, if it [is] sufficient for one it is for another, and if one needed a new Chart painted on a larger scale, all need it just as much." (Manuscript Releases Volume Sixteen Numbers 1,186-1,235) "On our return to Brother Otis Nichols’, The LORD gave me a Vision and showed me that the truth must be made plain upon Tables, and it would cause many to decide for the truth by the Three Angels’ Messages, with the two former being made plain upon Tables." The 1850 Chart is "a pictorial illustration depicting the Visions of Daniel and John published by Otis Nichols. On the 1850 Chart, or Table according to Habakkuk’s prophecy, there is an additional mention of "The Sanctuary And Its Cleansing", The Image Of The Papacy and the date 1843 – which appeared six times ("in some of the figures") on the 1843 Chart and was corrected to 1844 on the 1850 Chart. So according to the evidence we have here, "the first of the Prophetic Periods, considered as main pillars of Adventism was the 2,520 year prophecy and "the second of the Prophetic Periods, was the 2,300 year prophecy.
